La ciambella riuscita con il buco!

Rieccomi dopo un lungo periodo di assenza (no, non sono stata in vacanza per mesi…magari!). Poiché in tutto questo tempo mi sono un po’ arrugginita, riparto con un dolce semplice e veloce da fare.

Here I am again after a long period (no, I have not been on holidays all the time…I wish I did!). During this long time I got a bit rusty, so I re-begin blogging with an easy and quick recipe.

Me revoilà, après tout ce temps (no, je n’ai pas été en vacances pendant toute la période…J’aurais bien aimé !). Etant donné que je suis un peu rouillée, je repars avec une recette facile et rapide.

Once upon a time...

Ogni volta che faccio un pie mi sento così “d’antan”!  Non so perché ma questa torta americana mi proietta negli anni ‘50/’60… non cercate una spiegazione razionale: non c’è! Vi assicuro che non indosso un abitino bon-ton dalla vita stretta e un po’ buffante e il grembiulino quando preparo un pie (anche se il vintage è di moda, non cedo a certe tentazionidenze J).

Every time I prepare a pie I feel so yesteryear! I do not know why, but this American dessert brings me back to ’50 and ’60…do not look for a rational explanation: there is none! I swear I do not wear a good tone dress with a fitted waist and puffed skirt when I cook a pie (even if vintage is so fashionable, I don’t surrender to certain temptations trendsJ).

A chaque fois que je prépare un “pie” je me sens vraiment une femme d’autrefois! Je ne sais pas pourquoi, mais cette tarte américaine me renvoi aux années ’50 /’60…ne cherchez pas une explication rationnelle à cela : il n’y en a pas ! Je vous assure que je ne porte pas une petite robe bon-ton à la taille serrée et à la jupe bouffante, avec un petit tablier blanc brodé quand je prépare un pie (même si le vintage est à la mode, je ne cède pas à certains tentationsdences J).

La ciliegina sulla torta!

Non so se anche da voi è così: ma casa mia è circondata da ciliegi carichi di frutti! Questa stagione fa la mia gioia (in cucina) e quella della pulcettina (che non aspetta per nulla che io lavi, snoccioli e prepari in qualche dolce le ciliegie!) J

I do not know if it the same for you, but my house is surrounded by cherry trees full of fruits! This season make me happy (for the cooking/pastry possibilities) as well as my little “puce” (even if she does not wait for me to wash, pit and prepare cherries in some sweet or salted preparation – yes, you can use cherries in salted dishes, they are delicious with foie gras or a fillet of duck breast)J

Je ne sais pas si auprès de chez vous c’est la même chose, mais mon habitation est entourée des cerisiers plein de fruits ! Cette saison fait ma joie (en cuisine) et celle de ma petite puce (qui n’attend absolument pas que je lave, dénoyaute et prépare les cerises dans quelques gâteau ou plats salés- eh oui on peut mettre des cerises dans des plats salés : merveilleuse avec le foie gras ou le magret de canard !) J
